Our Lady of Sorrows Feast Day: September 15

Here is a familiar traditional image of Our Lady of Sorrows. This image captures her 7 Sorrows with 7 Swords piercing her Sacred Heart. The Flame is symbolic of the passion of the Holy Spirit. In her hands are the 3 Nails that held her son to the Cross. Note that she uses her mantle to cradle the Crown of Thorns.

This piece was hand sculpted on aluminum and permanently mounted on plexi-glass.
